What is ThomTek® Perilux?

ThomTek® Perilux was developed as a sound-absorbing construction that considerably reduces the level of sound transmission and to act as a safeguard against noise pollution, which can cause hearing damage, stress, high blood pressure and sleeping disorders. With the help of ThomTek® Perilux, noise can be dampened by 26 dB in accordance with DIN EN-1793-2, and 29 dB in accordance with ISO 10140-2. (Test report PB 4.2/11-339-1 dated 28.10.2011)

In addition to the main task of protecting living areas from noise pollution, ThomTek® Perilux forms an attractive part of the surroundings and is suited to any architectural environment. The individual design of the fence system offers a wide array of application options for counteracting traffic noise, as well as construction and industrial noise. Thanks to its high durability and high resistance under any weather conditions, it not only increases the value of real estate, but also the quality of life of residents.

WPC profiles

WPC means "Wood Polymer Composite". It consists of a combination of wood fibres and thermoplastic binding agents that are extruded and thereby fused together. With 70 % domestic wood, the wood content is very high. The colours are created by intermixing environmentally friendly pigment.

Steel profiles

The hot-dip galvanised steel profiles are powdercoated using an absolutely environmentally friendly process. The powder coatings are made by means of the thermal curing of dry, flee-flowing powder free of binding agents. The powder is applied using spray guns in which the powder becomes electrostatically charged. Multiple work cycles guarantee an ideal adherence to zinc.

Easy and variable

ThomTek® Perilux is simply to install

Installation

The installation of ThomTek® Perilux is simply ingenious. The maximum distance between posts is 3 m, but is otherwise absolutely variable. The construction height can be selected as needed. The dimensions of the posts and foundations are based on the construction height. The graduation is determined by the noise protection profile width 140 mm and the infinitely variable installation of the U mounting rails also allows for height differences based on terrain contour.

The noise protection profiles are trimmed to the correct length using standard wood tools and require no further processing. Attention must be paid to ensure that the noise protection profiles are 40 mm shorter than the clear distance between the U profiles/posts to allow for expansion lengthwise.

Easy cleaning

ThomTek® Perilux is practically easy to care

Care

The cleaning of the WPC profiles can be done easily with water. If very dirty, a high pressure cleaner with max. 80 bars can be used. The use of a steam cleaner is not recommended. The high pressure cleaner shall be directed to the fence at the distance of 30 cm. Don’t use any detergents with solvent. Due to the proportion of polymer, the WPC profi les are more or less carefree. There is no need to paint or to oil the fence in order to extend the service life.

How long is the delivery time?

Delivery time depends on the specific version.

For hot dip galvanised steel parts without coating, the delivery time is around 3 – 5 weeks.

For coated steel parts (coloured), it can take about 5 – 7 weeks.

If you need a door or gate, or poles with welded base plates, delivery time will be about 7 – 9 weeks.

Are doors and gates an option?

Yes, we offer doors and gates with ThomTek® Perilux filling. These are manufactured separately and are customised to your needs.

Are screws and accessories always included?

Yes, all screws and accessories are included, unless otherwise specified.

Where does the material come from?

Our WPCs, the accessories, our PFCs and the powder coating are all made in Germany.

Only our poles come from our business partner in Italy.

Does the ThomTek® Perilux have to be painted or otherwise maintained?

No, the ThomTek® Perilux does not have to be painted, maintained, or serviced. muss

We merely recommend cleaning the fence 1 – 2 times a year.

Can my reseller deliver the goods directly to me?

Yes, that is no problem.

Our logistics partners also offer deliveries with forklift unloading and will inform you 1 – 2 days prior to delivery, to avoid problems in finding a suitable date.
